IMPORTANT: SSO is not available on the mobile app yet. Once you authenticate once via SSO (on the web) you can download the mobile app and login with the same credentials.
Activation: For new NYT users
From a web browser, all subscribers should be directed to visit nytimes.com, where they click Login, and immediately scroll down and click select “Continue with work or school single sign-on” at the bottom of the login page.
Activation: For existing NYT users
From a web browser, subscribers should be directed to login into their nytimes.com account via their current login method (eg. email/password or social login method). Then go to Account > Email and settings > click "Connect" next to Work or School
Logging in: For returning SSO users
Subscribers can go to nytimes.com, click Login, and immediately scroll down and click “Continue with work or school single sign-on” at the bottom of the login page.
OR
Subscribers can continue to visit nytimes.com, click Login and input their credentials as they do today. Academic passes are valid for 4 years, after which subscribers must go to nytimes.com, scroll down immediately and click on “Continue with work or school single sign on ” to authenticate for another 4 years.
